How can you overcome your shyness?
Compared to others we might feel shy from time to time. Or we feel shy all around the clock, or just in specific circumstances.
What can we do about it?
Accepting it and not wanting to change it. This can even lead to less shyness.
Training it like a muscle. Identifying the fear, and facing the fear in little steps. Like small reality checks on how the fear made actually sense. Often we realise it was not so difficult, we “just” need to give it a try. This reprograms our brain every time we do this reality check. Our brains are quite creative in coming up with worst case scenarios, due to our pre-historic amygdala functions, which are obsolete in the safe world we are living in nowadays.
